BU, Brookline Police Looking for Comm Ave Attacker

A female undergraduate was "hugged and punched" on Feb. 2.

Boston University and Brookline Police are looking for a man that reportedly attacked a woman on Commonwealth Avenue on Sunday, according to The Daily Free Press.

The attack took place at the avenue’s intersection with Amory Street.

The woman, a 22-year-old undergrad, reported being grabbed from behind “aggressively,” hugged, and then punched, at around 10 p.m. She was able to fend off the attack. The man later fled in a gray or tan SUV, possibly a Honda Pilot, according to police.

Brookline Police were contacted and patrolled the area but were unable to find anything. Information was passed onto other departments and police are looking at surveillance video footage from the area to see if they can track down the vehicle.
