Brookline Police Officer Shoots Man Inside Apartment

Reports: Man was allegedly using inhalants and threatened others with a knife.

A Brookline Police officer is on paid leave following a shooting at a Cleveland Circle apartment on March 7, according to WBZ-TV.

At just before 8 p.m., officers were sent to Beacon Street for a report that a man who was high on inhalants and threatening people with a knife. During the interaction with the man, one of the officers shot him.

The report stated that the shooting looks justified but it was standard protocol for the officer to be put on leave until the investigation was completed.
