Brookline Arrest Log: Speed, and The Fugitive

The following arrest report is based on Brookline Police Department reports for Oct. 26 through 28. Look for weekday incident reports each Saturday, weekend reports each Monday, and arrest logs each Tuesday on Brookline Patch. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Friday, Oct. 26

• Fugitive from justice – Troy Crichlow, 31, of Milton. 11 a.m. Brookline police pulled a driver of an Acura TSX over on Harvard Street after a random query determined that the owner had a warrant active for his arrest. The warrant was for unlawful entry, or breaking-and-entering, in Virginia. Police confimed the warrant with the US Marshalls service and arrested and charged Crichlow on that warrant and with being a fugitive from justice. 

Saturday, Oct. 27

• Trespassing – Roxbury man Andrew Carter, 43. Police saw a man with a backpack walking through the Commonwealth Avenue Herb Chambers lot at about 2:30 a.m. Officers report he was not making any effort to look inside the parked vehicles. Police stopped him and identified him as Carter, and pointed out the "No Trespassing" signs. He insisted that he was not doing anything wrong, and that Harb Chambers employees recognized him. He became agitated and started to walk away, and when the officer insisted he finish the conversation, he came back angry about being stopped. When a second officer approached, he took off. Police stopped him, and arrested and charged him on an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct, and for trespassing.  

Sunday, Oct. 28

• Operating to endanger – 24-year-old Natick man Tiandao Dong. Police conducting traffic enforcement at 12:30 a.m. on Boylston Street clocked a red sports car at 92 mph in a 40 mph zone. Police attempted to pull him over, but he started driving faster. The red car wove through traffic, had to slow for two cars side-by-side, and the officer was able to close the gap. The driver appeared to lose control briefly, but was ultimately came to a stop on Jackson Street at Oakmont Road in Newton. Police arrested and charged him with speeding, failure to stop, driving to endanger, and driving after a suspension.
