Brookline Arrest Log: Fourth Freeman Street Pot Arrest, Late-night Crash

The following information was supplied by Brookline Police Dept. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following arrest report is based on Brookline Police Department reports for Oct. 22 through 25. Look for weekday incident reports each Saturday, weekend reports each Monday, and arrest logs each Tuesday on Brookline Patch. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, Oct. 22
  • Operating under the influence – Jenna Debye, 26, of Burlington. A police officer saw a blue VW Jetta which had crash into the sidewalk at Harvard and Fuller Streets just before midnight on Monday. The driver was not harmed, but she appeared to be slurring her words and looked unsteady on her feet. The vehicle also had a revoked registration status, according to police. The driver was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating to endanger, a marked lanes violation, not having her license, not having her license and driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle.

Tuesday, Oct. 23
  • Possession of a class D drug with intent to distribute – 23-year-old Stefan Alexandrescu of Freeman Street. Police investigating a drug operating allegedly running out of 185 Freeman Street found $117,000 and between 10 and 15 pounds of marijuana in the apartment. During the investigation, they obtained a copy of the least with three names on it--of which Alexandrescu was one. Police contacted him to come into the station for an interview. During the interview, they arrested and charged him with possession of a class D drug, possession with intent to distribute, and possession within 250 feet of a park at about 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 24
  • Straight warrant – 20-year-old Mengchen Lee of Brighton. Police pulled over an audi which was reportedly speeding on Beacon Street--estimated at 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. When police pulled him over, they determined he had an outstanding warrant out of New Bedford and arrested and charged him on that warrant at about 12:45 a.m.
  • Shoplifting – Jamaica Plain woman, Yolanda Wilson, 50. A shoplifter was arrested after fleeing the CVS store on Washington Street, at about 5:30 p.m. Police found a woman who matched the description of the suspect at the intersection of Greenough Street and Washington Street.
