Brookline Arrest Log: May 28 – June 3

The following arrest report is based on reports for May 28 through June 3. Look for weekday incident reports each Saturday, weekend reports each Monday, and arrest logs each Tuesday on Brookline Patch. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

• Larceny in a building – 29-year-old Edwin Alvarez, reportedly homeless. An officer had seen a man behind some bushes between the entrance to an apartment building outside of 187 Kent Street, when he came out, he had a package he was not carrying before. He was stopped, and arrested and charged with larceny from a building at about 2:30 p.m. 
• Conspiracy to violate the drug law – Aleksander Gofman, 29, and Michael Stonov, 17, both of Sharon. Police pulled a car over after it made an abrupt lane change without signalling at around 9 p.m. Police saw a pair of knives in plain view, and then searched the car and found hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia. The driver, Gofman, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws. The passenger, Stonov, was also charged conspiracy to violate drug law.
• Warrant arrest – Framingham man, Robert Tetrault, 47 years old. Police responded to fire station four on Boylston Street, where an intoxicated man had come in reportedly asking for help getting home at about 10 p.m. Officers arrived, and queried dispatch about the man--Tetrault--who they determined had outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Framingham District Court for disorderly conduct, trespassing, and walking or riding on a railroad track. 

• Indecent assault-and-battery of a child over 14 – 21-year-old Pedro Lopes, of Brockton. Police made the arrest at 227 Babcock Street at about 1:45 p.m.

• Operating under the influence of alcohol – Hector Solorzano, Quincy man aged 37. At about 4 a.m., police saw a vehicle pulled into the Star Market parking lot on Beacon Street, but not actually parked in a spot. The door was open, the interior lights were on, and there was a pile of vomit outside the vehicle. The driver appeared to be slumped over the steering wheel, and did not respond when police spoke to him or shone a light on him. After rousing him, officers determined that he had been driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested and charged him.
