The following arrest report is based on reports for Aug. 24 through 26. Look for weekday incident reports each Saturday, weekend reports each Monday, and arrest logs each Tuesday on Brookline Patch. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Friday, Aug. 24
  • Warrant arrest – Elijah Adamson, 24, of Somerville. Police saw a vehicle parked at Amory Park at around 10:30 p.m., while the park is closed at dusk. As they approached the vehicle, they say the occupants began moving in "a nervous manner." In the center console of the vehicle, the officers noticed a bag of marijuana in plain view. While speaking to him about the marijuana, dispatch informed the officers of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Cambridge District Court. He was arrested and charged on the outstanding warrant and with a bylaw citation for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
  • Inhaling an intoxicating substance – Winthrop Road man Jacob Wollheim-Hatch, age 19. Police responded to Duffley Court, where a caller had reported noise complaints, saying that a group was on the second floor patio, being loud and inflating balloons with compressed air at around 6 p.m., then they left for a few hours, returning at about 10:30 p.m. and filling more balloons. As officers approached the building, they report that the first floor of the building was padlocked and dark, and no response came from the second floor. Officers found an unsecured side door, and went inside to inform the occupants of the noise complaint--after announcing their presence, they found a Wollheim-Hatch and a woman inside the apartment. According to the report, officers found a tank of nitrous oxide (commonly called laughing gas), beer cans and liquor bottles, bongs, and a makeshift bed in one of the bedrooms. Police also found what appeared to be cocaine in a pack of cigarettes while they were speaking to the two people. The officers believe that the people inside were squatting on the premises, and were not tenants. Wollheim-Hatch was arrested and charged with inhaling an intoxicating vapor and possession of a class B drug.
