Allandale Road is a Hot Spot for Arrests

Brookline Police arrest a number of Jamaica Plan residents on driving charges.

Matthew Barre, 25, of Jamaica Plain, was arrested at 8:13 p.m. on Feb. 11, and charged with operating with an expired license, speeding, and failure to notify the Registry of a change of address. While monitoring traffic on Allandale Road, an officer clocked a vehicle going 43 mph in a 30 zone. The vehicle was pulled over just before the Boston line. Barre, the driver, handed over his license and registration to the officer who looked at the license and realized it expired a year and a half ago. During a conversation with Barre, the officer also found out that he had allegedly moved from Chelmsford to JP about two years ago but hadn’t told the RMV. A check was made of his license and he was arrested.

Peter Carnicelli, 28, of Jamaica Plain, was arrested at 2:09 p.m. on Feb. 12, on warrants. He was also cited for an inspection sticker expiration. While on Boylston Street, and officer spotted a vehicle with a December 2013 inspection sticker. A check of the vehicle yielded information that its owner, Carnicelli, had an active warrant for traffic violations out of Plymouth District Court. The vehicle was stopped at High Street and Carnicelli was arrested.

Martha Gardner, 48, of Jamaica Plain, was arrested at 8:35 p.m. on Feb. 16, and charged with operating after suspension, speeding, and a warrant. An officer was monitoring car speeds on Allandale Road, a 30 mph roadway. Around 7:45 p.m., a vehicle was clocked going 47 mph and it was pulled over near the Allandale Farm Stand. The officer approached the driver, Gardner, and requested paperwork. She reportedly handed over a registration for the vehicle but not a license. When asked for ID, Gardner allegedly handed the officer a passport. A check of her privileges yielded a default warrant out of Lynn District Court. Her license was also suspended. After backup units arrived, Gardner was arrested. A friend was able to come and get her daughters and take control of the vehicle. The owner of the motor vehicle was also cited for allowing an individual with a suspended license to operate a motor vehicle.

David Rodriguez, 36, of Jamaica Plain, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. on March 1, and charged with operating after suspension, attaching plates, operating without a registration, speeding, operating an unregistered vehicle, and operating an uninsured vehicle. An officer monitoring traffic on Allandale Road tracked a vehicle going 41 mph in a 30 mph zone and the vehicle was stopped. The driver, Rodriguez, reportedly gave a license to the officer but the car was a new one and there was some confusion with the dealership. The officer ran the plate of the vehicle and a warrant came up for Rodriguez’s arrest out of Dedham District Court for operating after suspension. After other officers arrived, Rodriguez was arrested. Later, the officer found out from the RMV that the plates were for an older model Subaru and the vehicle was not registered, so other charges were added.
