This is Not Goodbye, Brookline

A farewell from your faithful editor.

Dear friends,

Today is my last day reporting in Brookline.

As you may know, I’ve been writing and reporting on life here for nearly four years—first for the Brookline TAB, and more recently for Brookline Patch. It’s been a long and rewarding tenure, but it’s time for me to move on.

Don’t worry; I’m not going far. I’ve grown to love this town over the years and have no plans to leave it. To the many friends I’ve made in my work, please stay and touch and look for me around town. I plan to get even more involved with life in Brookline now that I’m not shackled by the limits of journalistic impartiality.

I also owe many thanks to the hundreds of people who have helped me with research, shared their stories, tolerated my redundant questions and corrected my grammar over the years. Thank you for your time, patience and enthusiasm.

I leave Brookline Patch in the capable hands of your new editor, Grahame Turner. Feel free to give him a shout at Grahame.turner42@gmail.com.

All the best,

Neal
