6th Annual Waterchestnut Removal Program

The summer 2012 waterchestnut removal season is here, and that means we need your help! Please consider joining us in our 6th year of waterchestnut removal in the Charles River.

Join CRWA for the
6th Annual Waterchestnut Removal Program!

CRWA is currently scheduling individuals and groups who would like to participate in the waterchestnut removal program.  Volunteers will be provided with all of the equipment and training needed.  Spend a day out on the water while helping keep our river healthy and free of the invasive waterchestnut plants!

Public volunteer days have been scheduled for the following dates:

Sunday, July 1st from 12pm – 4pm
Saturday, July 14th from 12pm – 4pm
Thursday, July 19th from 5pm – 7:30pm
Saturday, July 28th from 10am – 1pm

For more information please email Anna DiSanto at waterchestnut@crwa.org, or call 781-788-0007 x235.

Waterchestnut Information Brochure Be sure to check out this Invasive Plant Removal Project flyer, created by Betty Barrer and Maura Conron, in conjunction with the Lakes District Neighborhood Committee and CRWA.  Great work!  Thanks to your generous support we are able to print 3,000 of these to help spread the word about this problem. Please contact me if you would like to help distribute these pamphlets to friends and neighbors.
