WriteBoston Seeks Writing Tutors

Volunteer writing tutors needed for WriteBoston

Make a difference in your community! Share your love of writing by becoming a writing tutor with WriteBoston. Help create a culture of writing and be a role model for a local student. Help students develop as writers and build the skills they need for college and beyond. As a writing tutor, you have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with students as you help them become successful writers.
  • Located at 100 Maxwell Street, Dorchester, 02124
  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week
  • Most tutors volunteer for a 2-3 hour shift once a week
  • A great opportunity for aspiring or retired teachers and experienced writers
WriteBoston’s Writing Centers create a low-risk environment (grade and judgment free) where students can become better writers by working on writing assignments with trained tutors. We stress the importance of gaining confidence, building skills, finding and expressingone’s ideas, and developing creativity. We build reading, thinking, and writing skills with the understanding that the three are intimately connected.
