Workshop: Weatherizing Your Home

With today’s high energy prices, you can’t afford to let warm air leak out of your home. Learn how to fix drafty doors and windows and to identify other places in your house where heat is escaping. This hands-on workshop will review different weatherization products and how to install them, including water and steam pipe insulation, door kits, sweeps, caulking, and gap-sealing foam. We’ll also discuss more advanced weatherizing techniques. After instruction and demonstrations on Thursday evening, participants can gain hands-on experience at a community weatherization event on Saturday, September 21.
