Waterworks Wednesday: Beyond Bottled Water Bottled water--do we really need it?

What are the costs to the environment and to our pocketbooks? Three experts will discuss their efforts to raise awareness of the availability and cleanliness of tap water. Jill Appel spearheaded the successful campaign to ban the sale of single-serving water bottles from the town of Concord. Denise Hart, from Save Our Groundwater in New Hampshire, works on local solutions to water sustainability issues. Becca Neubardt, from Corporate Accountability, organizes college students to convince their schools to eliminate water bottles from their campuses. The panel will engage the audience in a lively discussion about the strategies involved in increasing public awareness and changing behavior. Cost is $5. Please RSVP to info@waterworksmuseum.org.
