Summer Workshops for Teens & Tweens

We have designed our workshops to meet the needs of students of all levels. We will spend four half-day sessions learning a variety of techniques and creating several projects throughout the week. The groups will be split into “Fundamentals” and “Advanced”.  Each participant will have the opportunity to work at their own pace. Projects will vary fr0m session to session so the workshops offer a new experience each time. Some of the projects covered will be as follows:

Fundamentals and Fun
Learn to make bracelets, earrings, pins and pendants. We will also work on more advanced techniques to create some trendy repurposed jewelry using resin.
- color, design, layout, tools and materials
- attaching a clasp to create a bracelet
- using wire to make earrings
- decoupage
- weaving and more, as time permits

Advanced Techniques
In our advanced class, we will provide a quick review of the basics. Techniques covered will be as follows:
- color, design, layout, tools and materials
- wire working
- loops, wrapping and linking
- wire wrapped rings
- twisted branch or coiling technique
- working with paper, punches, resin and found objects (bottle caps, Scrabble Tiles and paper)Ages: 10+

Duration: Four – 3 Hour Sessions (you can also register for individual day sessions for $55 /session)

Fee: $180, includes materials
* This is an interactive session. Students work at their own level and we are happy to explore individual interests.
