Learn the skills and artistry of on-camera puppetry from a leading industry professional in a fun and supportive environment. During this 3-day intensive, participants will discover how to create nuanced, expressive characters through a series of manipulation exercises with mouth-and-rod-style (“Muppet-Style”) puppets. We will then work together to devise, script, and record short scenes, constantly refining work through group presentation and critique. Throughout the class, we will emphasize strategies for creative collaboration in a professional environment while covering real-world television production skills such as using a flipped-image monitor and puppet assisting. This is a great class for puppeteers looking to build their TV puppetry skills, or for anyone looking to explore the creative potential of this media.
