Yoga for Adults at Brookline Music School

ADULT DANCE STRETCH & STRENGTH  NEW!  
We will do an active warm-up, followed by dance sequences that work on agility (moving with speed while maintaining control); balance (helping balance centered, moving from center with head stillness); and coordination (wiring the brain to get parts of the body working together harmoniously). The last segment of the class will be static stretching of all major muscles and tendons, using tennis balls, foam rollers and exercise balls to facilitate releasing tension and lengthening our range of movement.
Class Length: 15-weeks, 50 minutes

BEGINNING GENTLE YOGA  NEW!  
A gentle beginning yoga for adults with minimal or no experience. In class we will take the time to get to know the postures and how they relate to each individual's body type. Better breathing, alignment, stretching, strengthening relaxation and rejuvenation are key components of a yoga practice. Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and bring a yoga mat.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA  NEW!  
A yoga class for adults that has at least six months to a year of yoga experience. Vinyasa flow invites us to connect the breath to our movements and transitions in to various yoga postures. Better breathing, alignment, stretching, strengthening relaxation and rejuvenation are key components of a yoga practice. Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and bring a yoga mat.
