Willoughby Walling: Retrospective on view

(Brookline – December 27, 2012) - Celebrating the life and paintings of local Brookline artist, Willoughby George Walling. For Wib, painting was about creating, communicating and learning. Wib loved to show his paintings and share his reflections on their creation. He took many classes at the Brookline Arts Center and his work was included in many group and solo exhibitions. His work reflected his feelings about faith, nature, relationships and “searching for structure”.

After bringing a set of watercolors on a family vacation to Montana, Wib discovered a passion for painting that would carry him through the rest of his life. Wib had a number of shows in Boston and New York. He passed away in February, 2012.The Center is pleased to present this collection of his paintings.
