Wagathon 2013

The WAGATHON is BACK! 


Calling all furry friends to swag over to Washington Square in Brookline on Sunday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. By overwhelming canine demand, The Wagathon is BACK! Head over with your loyal four-legged friends to Washington Square for a tail-wagging good time.


Hosted by the Washington Square Association, the annual dog day will feature gourmet treats, raffles, activities and prizes brought to you by over 40 dog-loving businesses and organizations of Brookline.

Sniff over to the lamb-burgers grilling at The Fireplace, chew on Athans’ homemade bow-wow biscuits. chomp at the Golden Temple dumplings and lick away at the puppy-sundaes of Emack & Bolio’s and J.P.Licks. Dine-with-your-dog at the Washington Square Tavern, the Publick House and select patios of the best eateries in town. The two-legged can cool up with a free Gimbel’s wine spritzer and pick up some hearty pizza from the ovens of Cafe Nicholas. 


Get pet-icured by Durty Harry’s at Sylvan, then get posh by splurging on the Cause To Paws custom- designed Boston Strong t-shirt. Complete that Wagathon Look by picking up a hip bandana from TD Bank then pose for an everlasting portrait by Vincent van Dogh at FastFrame.

Get health and power-walk talk from Beantown Bed and Biscuit, consult Ask-a-Vet at VCA Animal Hospital & ANGELL Animal Medical Center, Ask-a-Nutritionist at Brookline Grooming and get critical health advice from NEVOG specialists. Felines get special attention at Metro Cat Hospital. Kids, too, won’t miss out with the Clown and Balloon Folding Show at Tiny World Child Care from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..


Get lucky and win a Birthday “Pawty” for your Top Dog and 10 guests at the Wagathon Ruffle. Additional prizes feature offerings from Barcelona, Brocades Boutique, Brookline Bank, Super Fusion Cuisine and many others. Try your luck at all the mini-ruffles and games hosted by Connelly Hardware and Big Dog Walkin’. Remember to get charitable by supporting the good work of the MSPCA and the fund-raising efforts of No Bones About It for the missing pet victims of the Oklahoma tornado.
