The Human Cost

Come join our "Waterworks Wednesday" event at the Waterworks Museum with the author of the book "Cascade", Maryanne O'Hara. "Cascade" is loosely based on the four towns that were flooded to create the Quabbin Reservoir. She will talk about the research she conducted and the reasons that she decided to fictionalize the setting. She will show brief video segments of former Swift River Valley residents talking about their memories, lead a discussion about the human costs and benefits of public works projects, and read from Cascade. There is an admission fee of $5. Please RSVP to info@waterworksmuseum.org or 617-277-0065.
