The 24th Annual Boston Jewish Film Festival - Female Helmers

The "glass ceiling" still very much exists for women who want to pursue a career directing films. In Hollywood, it took 82 years for a woman to win an Oscar for Best Director - Kathryn Bigelow for The Hurt Locker in 2010.  Female Helmers features four thought-provoking, women-directed, Jewish shorts - from experimental to narrative, documentary to animation, that push the boundaries of creative storytelling.
