Over $8,000 in grants available for Arts & Culture in Brookline

Brookline Commission for the Arts (BCA) seeks funding proposals for over $8000 in MCC grants for 2013.

October 15 is the postmark deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support community-oriented cultural activities in the fields of the arts, humanities, and science including art exhibits, musical/dance performances, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools, workshops and lectures.
The MCC grants give artists, writers, and organizations an excellent opportunity to engage a local audience and enrich the cultural scene in Brookline.

Previously funded projects include literary, musical, theatrical, video, educational, and arts projects that enhance the cultural life of Brookline.

For specific guidelines and complete information on the BCA, contact Gillian Jackson, Administrator at brooklinearts@gmail.com or 617 730 2135. Application forms and more information about the Local Cultural Council Program are available online at www.mass-culture.org/lcc_public.asp or brooklinearts.org. Application forms are also available at Brookline Town Hall (Selectmen’s Office 6th floor) and Brookline Main Library.
