Nancy Kricorian - All the Light There Was

In a novel Booklist calls an “important addition to the WWII fiction shelves,” Nancy Kricorian tells the story of Maral Pegorian, a young Armenian refugee living with her family in Paris during the Nazi occupation. The naïve Maral experiences love and loss, questioning her loyalties and growing up with the backdrop of the vagaries of war and the hollowness of life after. Kricorian’s careful pacing makes this a genuinely engrossing read.
