Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

The Brookline Police Department will be hosting a 10-week CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training starting in January.  An application and CERT overview are attached.  Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings, beginning January 22, from 630-930pm.   Most classes will be held at the Brookline Emergency Operations Center, 870 Hammond St and some will be held at the BPD Headquarters, 350 Washington Street.  Attendance at the trainings are mandatory for certification.   


The training will include mass care, shelter operations, basic fire suppression, traffic direction, search and rescue, first aid/AED, and emergency preparedness. The program is 10 weeks long (with one week off on March 26th) and the graduation will be held on April 9th at Hunneman Hall at the Main Library.
