In 2008, she earned the opportunity to participate in the Pulawy Jazz Workshop in Poland, where she was the youngest competitor in the history of the competition. Sırma instantly gained attention from Turkish media and was crowned "the youngest jazz singer in Turkey." In 2009, she was one of 16 singers globally selected by Pepsi to be part of the Pepsi World Choir for Akon’s latest single. The song, titled “Oh Africa,” was recorded in Record Plant Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA with Akon, Keri Hilson, and the Soweto Gospel Choir. Sırma also appeared in the music video for the single, directed by Gil Green. The video debuted globally at the 2010 Grammy Awards. In addition to this global background, Sırma has experience as a producer, songwriter, and arranger, as well as fronting the popular rock band Helicopria for two years. She recently released her debut solo EP, Traces.
