Brookline Arts Center Color Fall Arts Festival

The
Brookline Arts Center (BAC) will be hosting its first annual Color Fall Arts
Festival Friday, October 4 – Sunday, October 6, 2013.

The
BAC is a non-profit visual arts school committed to stimulating individual

creative expression and appreciation of the visual arts by providing high

quality, affordable programming. At 50 years old, the Center remains a

supportive environment where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can

study, create and present art. Through educational programs, community outreach
and exhibitions, the BAC brings people together and enhances art in our
community.


Color Fall Arts Festival will feature juried local craft and fine art vendors, food trucks, art activities,
performances, information booths for local non-profits and a silent auction.
Proceeds from Color Fall Arts Festival will help fund the BAC’s scholarship
programs, maintain affordable tuition and underwrite its community outreach
programs.

The BAC is proud to be collaborating with The
Brookline Music School, The Puppet Showplace Theater and Larz Anderson Auto
Museum for this first annual festival.


To kick-off Color Fall, Bostonia Bohemia will
present Intense Creatures, an
original one act play told through the voices of five women, Friday, October 4 at
8 pm. Food will be provided by Barcelona Wine Bar and Restaurant and Whole
Foods Brookline.

Ticket prices for
Friday’s festivities are as follows: General Public: $50, Members: $40, Group
of four: $160. Tickets may be purchased online at www.brooklineartscenter.com.



Saturday and Sunday
will feature a variety of activities including a Puppet Showplace Theater
puppet-making station and a Larz Anderson Auto Museum car-making station. There
will also be performances by Brookline Music School. Along with the various
activities and performances, Paris Creperie and Pennymaker’s food trucks will
be on-site both Saturday and Sunday.

The BAC is pleased to
offer a variety of silent auction items that were generously donated by local
shops, organizations and restaurants. Packages available in the silent auction include:

Enjoy seeing and learning about Boston on a Duck Boat Tour

for two! You and a friend will cruise by all of the places that make Boston the

birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts. Then, for a 360-degree view of

Boston, head up to Skywalk Observatory at Prudential Center and enjoy a

fabulous brunch for two at the top of the Hub Restaurant & Lounge.


Outer Cape Oenophile -


Your group will enjoy a
private tour and tasting for six people at Truro Vineyards. A selection of 10
wines will be available and each person can choose five from the list. Keep
your glass!



Dramatic Duo -


Setting the bar for all love stories to come,
Romeo & Juliet is the iconic and universal tale of passionate young
love, unfettered violence, soaring poetry, bawdy shenanigans and a tragically
heartbreaking denouement. Enjoy two level II tickets to The Actors’
Shakespeare Project timeless production at the Strand Theater. Then, continue
your theatrical tour with two tickets to any 2013-2014-season production by the
Huntington Theater Company, which was founded by Boston University in 1982.


Color Fall
Arts Festival will be held outdoors and indoors, rain or shine. The Festival
hours are as follows: Friday, October 4, 5 – 10 pm; Saturday, October 5, 10 am
– 4 pm; Sunday, October 6, 10 am – 4 pm. For a full schedule of events and a

The Brookline Arts Center is
located at 86 Monmouth Street, one block from Beacon Street at the corner of
Monmouth and St. Mary’s Street. It is easily accessible by public
transportation, by bus and on the Green Line T of the MBTA.
