Big Screen Classics: THELMA AND LOUISE
For Thelma and Louise, a weekend road-trip was supposed to be a reprieve from their troubles. Instead, it drew the attention of the law.
Thelma Dickinson (Geena Davis) has had enough of her domineering husband. She and her best friend Louise Sawyer (Susan Sarandon) decide to go on a road-trip in Louise's 1966 Ford Thunderbird convertible to get away from their troubles. Their troubles don't stay far off, however, as they face one problem after another: attempted rape, murder, and flight from the law are just the beginning. As they become inadvertent fugitives, their choices and money rapidly begin to dwindle.
