Big Screen Classics: POINT BREAK

Academy Award winning director Katherine Bigelow has been making outstanding action films for a very long time. Even though Point Break did not win her the Oscar, it still remains the greatest American film of the 1990s.

Bigelow's loaded this one with everything; bullets, meatball subs, Lori Petty in a wet suit, Ronald Regan with a shotgun, bleeding LBJ's, beach parties, Anthony Kiedis, undercover cops, and Patrick Swayze. All jokes aside, we are as serious as a shark attack when it comes to the sheer awesomeness of Point Break. If you are pregnant, on any sort of heart medication, taking amphetamines, or have had more than three cups of coffee the day of, DO NOT ATTEND this action-packed, nitroglycerin-soaked piece of 90s perfection.
