The poetic messages of the prophets in
the Hebrew scriptures talk of justice, nonviolence, loss, and hope in the midst
of cataclysmic change. Their words take on new meaning for us as we face
the challenges of our own day. This learning series, "Embracing the
Prophets," feature presentations by Walter Brueggeman, noted scholar of
Hebrew scriptures. Each session includes a recorded presentation followed
by discussion among the participants. The evening includes coffee and
