Weekend Weather: Feb. 11 and 12 [Update]

This weekend, are you going to need snowshoes or sandals? Find out before you head out.

[Update: The National Weather Service is currently predicting accumulation of up to an inch in the area, and has lowered the chance of precipitation to 80 percent. 9:20 a.m.]

No matter your plans this weekend, if you were thinking of staying in or , bear the weather in mind. The following comes from the National Weather Service report for Brookline:


Saturday: , somewhere between two and four inches all told. There is a 100 percent chance, tapering off to snow showers in the evening. Temperatures will range between 35ºF and 19ºF. Dig out those snowshoes, because there's a  out right now.

Sunday: No snow on Sunday, but a cold day ahead of us. 28ºF highs, 15ºF lows. Otherwise, partly sunny and partly cloudy in the evening.
