Two Women Charged with Shoplifting Alcohol from Trader Joe's

The following information was supplied by the Brookline Police. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

Brookline Police officers were called to Trader Joe’s at 6:30 p.m. on February 13. Dispatch said that two women had shoplifted and left the store, heading in the direction of Pleasant Street.

Officers located two women who matched the description in the Waldo Street area. Trader Joe’s employees claimed that the two women concealed bottles of alcohol and left the store without paying.

Two employees followed the suspects and observed them until the police arrived. The suspects took two bottles of Patron Tequila and two Grey Goose Vodka bottles.

One of the suspects was a juvenile. They had one bottle of Patron Tequila, valued at $51.99, a bottle of Anejo Tequila valued at $57.99. The other suspect had two bottles of Grey Goose Vodka valued at $31.99. The juvenile and Tiarra Johnson, 19, of 34 Harmon Street, Mattapan, were charged with shoplifting and minor possession of alcohol.
