Special Town Meeting Dates Set
Dates for the upcoming Fall Town Meeting, scheduled to begin Nov. 13, 2012
Tuesday night, the Board of Selectmen set the dates for the Fall Town Meeting, which is set for November 13. Before that, residents can submit warrant articles and attend the review meetings.
Below is the full schedule of dates upcoming before the meeting:
Date Event August 2 Warrant opens August 30 Warrant closes (Per by-laws, minimum of 75 days before TM) September 4 Board of Selectmen's preliminary discussion of warrant (if Board votes to meet). September 11 Board to review, discuss and sign the warrant. by Semptember 17 Post, advertise and distribute warrant.Must be posted at minimum 14 days before TM (Oct. 30).
Distributed to TM members and posted to website and press at least 15 days prior (Oct 30). September 20 Selectmen continue review of warrant articles. October 2 Selectmen continue review of warrant articles. October 9 Selectmen continue review of warrant articles. October 16 Selectmen continue review of warrant articles. October 17 - 19 Board recieves recommendations for review and comments. October 23 Selectmen continue review of warrant articles, finalize voting.
October 24 Final comments on recommendations dure October 30 Mailing of combined reports. November 13 Town Meeting begins
