Police: Lowell Man Charged with Shoplifting, Providing Fake Info

The following information was supplied by the Brookline Police. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

Brookline Police responded to a report of shoplifting at T.J. Maxx at 525 Harvard Street at about 3:41 p.m. on July 11.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the Loss Prevention Officer, who observed the suspect put sealed boxes of men’s fragrances into a duffle bag.  The eight bottles of fragrance were valued at $251.73.

During the booking process, officers learned that the man had supplied a false name, social security number, and date of birth. Once officers determined the suspect’s real name, they ran a query of his information and found a warrant out of Brighton District Court for possession of a Class A substance and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
