Get Out: Falling into Fall

Whether the weather agrees or not, the autumnal season is right around the corner. There are some seasonal activities this weekend, and a number that are just fun.

When/where:  at 8 p.m. Friday.
Why: You spend about a third of your day there, so you're bound to have some stories about it. That's what Truth be Told is all about: Tell your stories about the evil boss, or chat briefly about why you would do your job for free. If you want to tell your story now, email ahead--if you get there and are moved, you can sign up at the event.

When/where: 11 a.m. at 308 Congress Street in Boston
Why: Buying and eating , and it gets you. Celebrate that in Boston with a whole host of locally grown food, drink and even crafts. You can also meet some of the people who make local food possible.

When/where: , 8 p.m. Saturday
Why: Swingtime is an alcohol- and substance-free dance for LGBT youth and friends which happens once a month. You don't need any experience or a dancing partner, and can stop by to pick up some pointers on your swing, salsa, ballroom, or two-step dancing skills.

When/where: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, at 
Why: It's as "fall" as pumpkin pie and buying Halloween costumes. Every 20 minutes, you can see a new perspective on Allandale farm from the back of a tractor-pulled hay cart. If that's not enough, there is a whole  going on in Newton as well.

 Walking Tour

When/where: , 2 p.m., Sunday
Why: Brookline Historical Society President Ken Liss will take you on a quick tour of the late 19th-century residential complex south of Beacon Street, and talk about the history of the site from an economy standpoint, as well as pointing out notable elements of the architecture and landscape.
