Why: Chabad is making the weekend South African-themed with this weekend's Shabbat service. The local branch of the South African Men's Choir will bring you a spirited sing-along service, with a separate service for kids, followed by a buffet.

Why: Get up early for the basics of Bootcamp. You'll learn some skills and drills needed to make a bootcamp experience work best for you. However, don't assume they're going to go easy on you if you're a beginner--you'll still walk away with a full-body work out.

Why: The Brookline Chamber of Commerce suggested a flash mob with cash to support local businesses. They're meeting outside of the Beacon Street Tavern with cash in hand to spend at some of the local stores in the district. Stop by the table at the Tavern to get your Cash Mobber sticker.

Why: Many of us have heard the stories Aesop wrote, talking animals in complex moral situations with ironic conclusions--and a moral. That's a little different than seeing the stories come to life. Narrated by Aesop himself, these tales spring to life in puppet form.
When/Where: , 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Why: Think you've got the voice? Put your money where your mouth is, and bring all that talent to Brookline Music School. Sunday is the deadline for entry, all forms must be in by 1 p.m. Open to teens 12 to 18 in Brookline and beyond. When you enter, you'll be able to participate in the workshops leading up to the contest.
