Five Things You Need to Know Today, Tuesday, Jan. 8: Dr. Lou Welcome at the Brookline Booksmith

1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a warm, sunny day with a high near 45. The evening will be clear with a low of 29.

2. Classical piano at EPOCH: EPOCH Assisted Living at Boylston Place, 615 Heath St., will welcome pianist and performer Rick Scalise for a concert on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. This event is free, but space is limited.

3. Brookline Access T.V. Orientation: What is BATV?  How can I share my idea with the community?  What are the opportunities available to me? Learn the basics of the BATV Mac labs and suites in this one time introduction class. 

4. Michael Palmer - Political Suicide (with Daniel Palmer): Dr. Lou Welcome returns in a new thriller from New York Times best-selling author Michael Palmer at the Brookline Booksmith.
