Five Things You Need to Know Today, Tuesday, Jan. 8: Dr. Lou Welcome at the Brookline Booksmith

Here are five things going on in and around town.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a warm, sunny day with a high near 45. The evening will be clear with a low of 29.

2. Classical piano at EPOCH: EPOCH Assisted Living at Boylston Place, 615 Heath St., will welcome pianist and performer Rick Scalise for a concert on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. This event is free, but space is limited.

3. Brookline Access T.V. Orientation: What is BATV?  How can I share my idea with the community?  What are the opportunities available to me? Learn the basics of the BATV Mac labs and suites in this one time introduction class.
