Five Brookline things today: local artists, feeling the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, fresh writers, and classic samurai flicks.

If you're feeling up to a late night, then check out the Cooldige Corner Theatre's offering: Shogun Assassin Both tonight and tomorrow night, starting at 11:59 p.m., they're showing the greatest team in the history of mass slaughter: Lone Wolf and Cub as the titular assassin relieves his enemies of their heads.
