Five Things You Need to Know Today: January 31

Last day of the month. Practice your jewelry-making, music-making, or interviewing skills, and share your shots around town.

  1. There may be some snow showers before noon, and rain showers between noon and 1 p.m. There could be less than an inch of snow on the ground in all.   3. It's a new semester of starting today. They are offering a number of programs, including Suzuki method, intermediate and beginning piano, and flute choire--to name a few. Contact the  for more information about the various programs, or to sign up for iPad Band. 
  4. Have an interview coming up? They can be nerve-wracking, so it may help to practice with someone who doesn't hold your job in their hands. Say, sign up for a , for example. Sign up on their website before the 10 a.m. session, and head over to 29 Winter St. in Boston with $15 for just such a clinic.
  5. For $35,  you can make two different rings in 's 6:30 p.m.  tonight. One will be a modern-style ring using a button or bead as a focal point, the other will have a flat stone.
