Five Things You Need to Know Today: January 3

Kids can get star-fit, the (historic) Boston Tea Party, and the musical stylings of one Dan Hart. Also, a happy 2012 from all of us at Patch.

  1. Weather! The National Weather Service forecasts a sunny day and a clear night. High of 28F, low of 10ºF. Don't let the bright day fool you--you'll probably want an extra layer.
  2. Even after the New Year, the DPW is still on a regular trash pickup schedule. If you're scheduled for pickup on Tuesday, put your trash out today. If you're reading this later in the day, you may want to hurry up.

  4. Is it time for your ? Help them make a great new year's resolution. It's a program to help young ladies learn some great core exercises in a fun, friendly environment. It kicks off at 3:30 p.m. at , and it'll set you back $120.
