Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 5

It's Maundy (or Holy) Thursday for Christians. Plus children's activities and a gander at "the sweet life."

Holy Week: it's Maundy Thursday, also known in some Christian traditions as Holy Thursday. The Church of the Redeemer holds a 7:30 p.m. service. A free supper starts in the Parish Hall at 6:30 p.m. and includes traditional stripping of the altar and footwashing. Other churches holding services tonight, please feel free to mention in the comments section at the bottom of this post.

Controversy lingers: The Heath School Building Committee meets at Town Hall at 8 a.m. See here for the agenda.

Sing-and-nosh-along: Have you been to Children's Music Hour at Finagle-a Bagel in Chestnut Hill? Musicians Ed Morgan and Jeanniemack perform original and classic children's songs from 5 - 6 p.m.

"The Sweet Life:" If you haven't yet gotten over to to see the art exhibit "La Dolce Vita" by artist Marian Dioguard, you've got til April 30 to catch these 'vibrant contemporary oil paintings of Italy and “the sweet life”'.
