Five Things You Need to Know: Oct. 16

Presidential debate watch, BATV orientation.

1. It'll be sunny but a little bit cooler today, with a high around 59, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The League of Women Voters of Brookline is hosting a community discussion and presidential debate watch at Pine Manor College. The event will be held at 8:30 p.m. and will be moderated by Dean William B. Vogele.

3. Parents are invited to bring their children to 652 Hammond St. in Chestnut Hill for some indoor play time. The fee is $5.

4. Brookline Access T.V. is hosting an orientation class at 6 p.m. at Brookline High School. Participants will learn the basics of the BATV Mac labs and suites.

5. Join Rabbi Zalman Leff for a weekly class on mitzvot at the Young Israel of Brookline, 62 Green St.
