2. Lawrence Friedman - The Lives of Erich Fromm: Love’s Prophet (Co-sponsored by Amnesty International): All while championing love and eschewing sadomasochistic appeal of dictatorship, Erich Fromm was one of the most important intellectuals of the twentieth century.
