Brookline Police Bust Clark Street Robber

Officers responded to a past report of a breaking and entering at 5:50 p.m. on February 7 on Clark Road. The victim reported that their home had been broken into and several rooms had been ransacked and looted.

The basement door was either kicked in, or some form of bodily force was used to break the hinge on the lock. All of the contents of drawers and medicine cabinets were thrown about. The victim later found that their jewelry, gift cards, savings bonds, medications and credit cards had been taken. Officers determined that the break-in occurred somewhere between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m..

The suspect used one of the credit cards to buy an iPad at the Target in Watertown. Police used the video surveillance from the store to identify the suspect. After some groundwork, officers showed the footage to the father of the suspect, who identified the suspect as a Watertown man.

The police then obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s home at 34 Flint Road, Watertown. Officers arrested Azad Terzian, 27, on February 21 and charged him with breaking and entering, larceny, identity fraud, using a stolen credit card and conspiracy.
