Arrest Logs for December 17-22: Two Shoplifter From Pharmacies

The following information was supplied by the Brookline Police Department. Charges listed do not imply a conviction.

December 17: At 12:37 p.m. on December 17, officers were dispatched to 300 South Street for a default warrant out of Quincy District Court for Daniel Sullivan, wanted for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Daniel Sullivan, 26, of 54 Seaver Road, Weymouth.

 

December 18: Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at about 1:44 p.m. at Walgreens on 1324 Beacon Street. Witnesses described the suspect as a Hispanic man wearing a dark colored jacket and a Miami Heat hat. The manager told police that they had observed the suspect put at least on bottle of cough pills in his pocket and leave the store. The security tape showed the suspect pocketing packages of Wal-Tussin. By the time the suspect headed to the door, officers reportedly could see that his pockets were buldging with cough medicine. Witnesses saw the suspect walking west on Beacon Street towards Centre Street.

Officers found a man matching the description of the suspect on Centre Street. Officers arrested Jacob Pimentel, 21, of 81 Faneuil Street and charged him with shoplifting.

December 22: Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at the CVS at 294 Harvard Street at 12:25 p.m. A man hopped on a 66 Bus after grabbing cough syrup off of the shelves. Brookline police stopped a 66 Bus near Brigham Circle and found a man who matched the description of the suspect provided by an employee. Officer apprehended the suspect. A witness was brought to the scene to identify the man, which they confirmed was the suspect, while officers went to retrieve the backpack he had left on the bus. Inside the backpack were 11 bottles of Nyquil and 10 bottles of Tylenol Cold and Cough Syrup. Marvin Stockman, 46, of 17 Court Street, Boston was charged with shoplifting, $50 to $200.
