Local CrossFit Gym Hosting Grand Re-Opening

Jay Zagami, owner of CrossFit SBF (Solid Body Fitness)—the largest CrossFit gym in Dedham, is hosting a grand re-opening on January 18th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its123 Stergis Way location, adjacent to Legacy Place. Health tips, fitness demonstrations, nutritious foods, and a live DJ will be onsite as part of the launch. Competitive attendees can sign up on the morning of the re-opening for a CrossFit challenge that is sure to test athletes and fitness new-comers on all levels. Prizes will be awarded to the top contestants in various categories.  

“We are very excited for the grand re-opening of our gym,” Zagami said. “To be associated with the CrossFit name is a huge step. Our devoted staff has been CrossFit-certified, and the team is ready to enhance the health and fitness of all that train under our roof,” Zagami explains. “Beyond CrossFit and Pilates, our fitness center will provide other wellness services including nutrition, dermatology, acupuncture therapy, Reiki healing, and more.”  Each business will be run separately while working in tandem in one convenient location to promote healthy living, balance and results-driven exercise.  

The Grand Re-Opening will feature: Caitlin’s Nutrition, Skin & Within, AMC Pilates, Vitamin Shop, LiveWell, Lovin the Ovin, Whole Foods Dedham, GoMotion, and Athleta Legacy Place—local stores and retailers in the area that emphasize wellness. Representatives will be onsite offering healthy living tips, showcasing merchandise, speaking with attendees and distributing out samples.  

The Grand Re-Open Schedule of Events includes:

10 a.m.—Health and Wellness Expo, Competition Registration, Local Healthy Resources Onsite

11 a.m.—CrossFit Competition Begins

12 p.m.—Pilates Demonstration by AMC Pilates

1 p.m.— Awards Ceremony

Newbies and seasoned CrossFit enthusiasts will enjoy the day’s activities, and emerge with an understanding of the wellness resources and workout regiments that will help them move towards a healthier and happier new year.
