Is Your Brookline Business Listed?

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be listed in the Brookline Chamber of Commerce’s Community Guide and Business Directory which reaches over 10,000 consumers.  In years past, the directory has only included the Chamber’s members in the annual guide.  This year, in collaboration with the Town, the Chamber is opening up the online and in-print publication, to include all Brookline Businesses.

“The mission of the Chamber is to support the entire Brookline business community.  We are thrilled to be able to provide a more comprehensive, useful guide for the community and for visitors”, states Executive Director, Celinda Shannon.

While membership in the Chamber is not required to be listed, there is incentive for businesses and non-profits to join the Chamber as Chamber members are included in a special “Members Only” section as well as the regular listing.  Along with this benefit, there are a number of other benefits to being a Chamber member such as: reduced admission to networking and educational events, the Chamber acting as an additional marketing and referral source for businesses, a free ad in the Brookline Tab and the ability to share information through the Chamber’s email newsletter and Facebook page.  There is also a free app available for download called MyChamberApp which uses geo-locating technology to point out all those Chamber members within Brookline.

“Joining the Chamber is like joining a gym, you’re not going to see results unless you put the effort in” says Shannon.  “People who come to networking events or participate on committees see a good return on their investment and with annual membership rates starting at $250, we make it accessible for most businesses to be a part.”

The Chamber’s Community Guide and Business Directory will come out this fall and is distributed through many local Chamber member businesses, Town Hall and the Chamber’s office.  If you would like to list your business or non-profit, go to their website to sign up: www.brooklinechamber.com or call the Chamber office at (617) 739-1330.
