West Roxbury's Burger King's License Suspended for Two Days - Again

The chain business on the VFW Parkway had its license suspended for two days by the Boston Licensing Board - for being open when its license was suspended.

VFW Parkway food chains seem to have a problem with being open when they're not supposed to be open. Burger King may be wearing the crown in this category, after the Boston Licensing Board suspended the business' license for two days - because it remained open for today when its license was already suspended!

UniversalHub.com covered the Boston Licensing Board hearing during which a Boston Police Detective was able to get served in the drive-thru window on the first day of a two-day suspension:

Lt. Stephen Meade told the board at a hearing Tuesday that while the dining room was closed on Aug. 27 as part of the restaurant's penance, the drive-thru continued to serve customers. Meade said he checked this by getting into the drive-through lane himself and, when he got to the ordering station, was asked for his order. He said the person behind him got served as well.

Back in January, McDonald's owner Bob King spoke at the West Roxbury Neighborhood Council meeting wanting to expand the restaurant's hours. He said that Burger King, the one mentioned in this article, and Dunkin' Donuts at 1610 VFW Parkway, had been operating out of their licensed business hours.

I feel bad for the people who work for this guy. They are the ones who will really get punished for the owner being unwilling to follow the rules.

Probably there are customers wanting to get food late night and they try to serve them... If there is no demand, I think they will not try to keep open...
