Rubin's Set to Make Brookline a 'Food Paradise' [PHOTOS]

The Travel Channel stops by Rubin's Deli in Brookline to film a segment for an upcoming TV show.

With two restaurants filmed this year, Brookline seems to be turning into a televised food destination. Earlier today, Brookline's  hosted a film crew from the Travel Channel to shoot a segment about the restaurant. 

Owner Allen Gellerman told Patch the segment was for the show Food Paradise. The show focuses each episode on one style of restaurant, and features local favorites from around the country. The program currently airs at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays on the Travel Channel. Keep an eye out for an upcoming episode featuring Delis.

The show has featured two Boston restaurants in the past: the Union Oyster House, and Cafe Fleuri located at The Langham Hotel.

Along with regulars at the restaurant, the son of Rubin's original owner, Chester Rubin made an appearance, bringing a copy of the original menu and a photo of his father at work. Jesse Mermell, Dick Benka and Ken Goldstein from the Board of Selectmen also stopped by, and were interviewed by the crew and producer.

This is the second show to film in Brookline this year: In May this year, stopped by Cutty's in Brookline Village. Before then, the Travel Channel's  at .
