Frugal Family - Welcome Back!

The big moving weekend is over! For those of you who were in Brookline and Jamaica Plain all summer: thanks so much for being a member of the Frugal Fam! For those of you who went home or away during the warmer months: welcome back!

Urban Renewals, located at 122 Brighton Avenue in Allston (right down the street from Brookline!) is a great place to shop for all members of the Frugal Family. The store is huge and offers endless racks of clothing for adults and kids, household items, furniture, jewelry, electronics and much more. The elders in the Frugal Fam are appreciated here too! Every Wednesday, family members 50 and older can take advantage of 50% off most items.

You love thrift and consignment stores, but you thirst for upscale products! Head to the Atrium Matt, located in Chestnut Hill at 300 Boylston Street and visit Second Time Around, or their new location at 275 Harvard Street. This store is a treasure chest of designer labels – all at consignment prices! Search the racks and you’ll find Chanel, Betsey Johnson, Gucci and Jimmy Choo, just to name a few.  If you love Burberry but can only spend a few bucks, this is the place to be!

Poor Little Rich Girl, located at 121 Hampshire Street in Cambridge is every Frugal fashionista’s dream come true. They only carry in-style, in-season clothing so you can buy your awesome find in the morning and wear it out that night. They have tons of designer jeans, vintage clothing and accessories and great bargains from the 1940s–1980s.  Look your finest without filing for bankruptcy.

You came to this area for school or because you love being close to Boston and you arrived just in time for Halloween. Check out Garment District, located at 200 Broadway in Cambridge for all of your fashionable clothing and costume needs. They specialize in clothes from the 60’s, 70’s 80’s, 90’s and today. Also, on the first floor of this Frugal Family Find, you can enjoy Boston Costume for all of your costume party and Halloween needs. Take advantage of their pay-by-weight days, when you can buy a pound of clothing for only $1.50!
