Mount Pleasant Home, a non-profit rest home in Jamaica Plain, will be hosting their 17th Annual Backyard Party on Sunday, September 16, 2012, from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The entire Jamaica Plain community is invited to attend this FREE event.

This year’s Backyard Party theme is circus fun with circus music, entertainers, clowns, face painting, pony rides, and a moon bounce. The MPH chefs will prepare a delicious circus inspired cookout.
Boston’s own circus band, “Cirkestra” will entertain folks with their unusual klezmer tunes.

Mount Pleasant Home’s mission since 1901 has been to provide housing and service options for low-income elders regardless of ethnicity or religion. As a residential care home, Mount Pleasant Home emphasizes quality service to a diverse population, with the goal of encouraging elders to live as independently as possible in a safe and nurturing environment.
Mount Pleasant Home is located at 301 South Huntington Avenue in Jamaica Plain. Free parking for the Backyard Party is available across the street at the VA Medical Center.
