Del Frisco's Grille Soon to Serve Up Steaks in Chestnut Hill

Steak house with locations in Texas, and in Las Vegas and New York, planning to open in the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center.

Steaks from Del Frisco Grille will be available to the "sophisticated palate of Chestnut Hill," according to a press release issued by the shopping center's owner, WS Development, who announced today that the national steakhouse--with locations in New York, Las Vegas and Houston--signed a lease for a Chestnut Hill Shopping Center space.

"We've been focused on finding the right mix of high-quality food operators to serve this dense, high-income market," said Mark Roberts, SVP of Leasing at WS Development. "Del Frisco's is expert at catering to the refined, well-traveled customer. We're excited to welcome Del Frisco's to Chestnut Hill."

Del Frisco will be located in a new, 64,000-square-foot "jewel box" building in the center of the shopping center, according to the press release. The restaurant will be situated on the second floor of the three-story building, which will also include WS Development's new headquarters.

The three-story building is just one piece of a larger renovation and redesign of the shopping center. A new  as well as  in the new, 115,000-square-foot building situated on the former Macy's site.

The new retail, gym and cinema building will begin opening up to the public in early 2013, starting with The Sports Club/LA followed by the movie theatre and retail shops.

Earlier this year, the firm also signed on the New York-based Shake Shack. 

In addition to tearing down Macy's and rebuilding on the site, WS Development also plans to demolish the City Sports/Century Bank building a few doors down at 33 Boylston St. That part of the project, which was presented to Newton last summer, will result in a new, three-story, mixed-use building that will include retail stores as well as office space for WS Development.

 Del Frisco's has just signed a lease at the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center, joining recent restaurant additions, Davio’s, Shake Shack, and Bernard's to serve the sophisticated palate of Chestnut Hill. Embodying the tradition of fine American Steak houses, Del Frisco's serves hand-cut aged USDA Prime beef and seafood, and features an extensive wine list, full-bar and mouthwatering appetizers. Its side dishes and desserts complete an always-memorable meal.

Del Frisco's Grille will be located on the second level of WS Development's corporate headquarters building, overlooking scenic Hammond Pond. It will be part of a new 64,000-square-foot, three-story "jewel-box" building located at the center of the project.

In addition to Davio’s, Bernard’s and Shake Shack, Del Frisco's joins other newly signed tenants including: Showcase Super Lux, The Sports Club/LA, lululemon, Pottery Barn, Polarn O. Pyret, Polka Dog Bakery, and Treat Cupcake Bar. Located along Route 9 in the heart of Chestnut Hill, the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center enjoys nearly a half-mile of street frontage. When the current redevelopment is complete, the center will expand to 406,000-square-feet of first-class retail and restaurants.
