Coolidge Corner Finale to Close After New Year's Eve

The Brookline dessert locale will be closed on New Year's Day, making their New Year's Eve service their last.

New Year's Eve will be the swan song for 's Coolidge Corner location.

Managers from the Brookline dessert establishment called customers with reservations for tonight to inform them of limited service tonight because of the impending closure. There is no indication that its Park Plaza or Harvard Square locations are closing.

During its time in Brookline, the restaurant has served up gourmet desserts, and offered wine pairings with some of their treats. Finale's closure will leave another empty space in Coolidge Corner, as didat the beginning of October.

We're sorry to see Finale go. But in the spirit of the new year, what would you like to see in that space? Avi Liss on Brookline Patch's Facebook page says she wants another breakfast place, so she doesn't have to wait in a long line at Zaftig's.

How about a Lowe's!

A kosher deli - like rubins or zaftigs (but kosher) with big breakfasts, and yummy sweets, that stays open after the CC Theatre late shows!

Another restaurant would be nice there, but the space does seem to have had a difficult time maintaining a long-term tenant. Perhaps an existing Brookline restaurant would consider a move to this prime Beacon St. location.

But I was just thinking that's exactly what Coolidge Corner needs... (kidding)
